Enhanced milk flow:
A warm compress helps widen the ducts and helps milk enter the ducts in the breast by increasing the flow of milk.

Prevent engorgement:
Cold compression after breastfeeding can help to calm the pain & regular use prevents engorging of milk in the breast.

Eases aches and soreness:
When used as a cold compress it reduces swelling & tenderness of breasts. Aids comfort during weaning compress.
As a Hot Compress:
Step 1 - Remove the herbal bag from the outer cover and heat in the microwave for a minute. Reheat, if required.
Step 2 - Place the bag back on the cover and ensure it is not too hot.
Step 3 - Put the inner bag in plastic and place it in refrigerator for 30-40mins.
Step 4 - Rest use same as above mentioned steps.
As a Cold Compress:
Place it around the breast and flip occasionally under the breast too.
Note: While heating, it is advisable to try a couple of minutes to start with, and then if you feel, set it at one-minute intervals. Never heat the herbal insert for more than 1 minute at a time.
Do I use this as a warm compress or a cold compress?
This can be used as a warm or a cold compress.
How do I store the Nursing Compress?
For long life, store in a cool place, in the provided air-tight bag with silica gel sachet.
How soon can I use it?
You can start using it during pregnancy itself if needed, else after delivery. Can also be used during periods to reduce soreness.
I don’t have a microwave, what is the other option of heating the compress?
It is ideal to heat the compress in a microwave. Although we don’t recommend it, some of our patrons do use ovens to heat their compresses.
How long will this compress last?
If you follow the directions carefully and check your compress regularly, it should provide you with warmth and pain relief for two years.
